About Viasna
Since 1996, Viasna team has been defending human rights in Belarus. We support political prisoners and their families, document repression, stand up for freedom and dignity, teach human rights, and continue to learn.
Over nearly 30 years of work, Viasna has become a symbol of solidarity and resistance to injustice. Our team knows the cost of this struggle: many of our colleagues have faced persecution, arrests, torture, and have been forced to flee the country.
Today, four members of Viasna remain behind bars: Ales Bialiatski, Valiantsin Stefanovic, Uladzimir Labkovich, and Marfa Rabkova.
